Tax and pricing
- VAT calculator — add or remove VAT at any rate (5%, 14%, 15%, 20% or custom). Useful when quoting tax-inclusive prices to customers or reconciling supplier invoices.
- India GST calculator — splits an amount into CGST + SGST within a state or IGST across states at the 2026 slabs, adding GST to a taxable value or extracting it from an inclusive total.
- Profit margin calculator — gross profit, margin percentage and markup from cost and selling price.
- Markup and margin calculator — converts a markup percentage to the equivalent margin, or a margin to the equivalent markup.
- Discount calculator — final price after a percentage or fixed-amount discount, the amount saved and, for a fixed amount, the effective rate. Handy for sales, promotions and supplier negotiations.
- Percentage calculator — X% of Y, X as a percentage of Y, and the percentage change from one value to another.
- Break-even calculator — how many units you must sell, and the revenue that takes, to cover fixed costs from your variable cost and selling price per unit. A critical sanity check before launching a product or service.
International business
- Currency exchange calculator — convert between 150+ currencies at the European Commission's official monthly InfoEuro rates, past months included. Useful for invoicing international clients or estimating supplier costs.
- Shipping CBM calculator — cargo volume in cubic metres from carton dimensions, with the volumetric and chargeable weight.
- Chargeable weight calculator — air, sea or road chargeable weight: the greater of the actual and the volumetric weight.
- Import cost calculator — landed cost from purchase price, freight, insurance, customs duty and local delivery, and the cost per unit.
Payroll and people
- Overtime calculator — overtime pay from the hourly rate, the hours and the multiplier your labour law sets (1.5× in Saudi Arabia, for example).
- Leave balance calculator — annual leave accrued, taken and remaining, from the yearly entitlement and the months worked.
- Salary cost calculator — the employer's total cost of an employee: basic salary, the social-insurance contribution, allowances and benefits, monthly and yearly.
Financing and getting paid
- Loan calculator — monthly payment, total interest and total cost from principal, rate and term. Useful for evaluating equipment financing or working-capital loans.
- Compound interest calculator — the future value of savings or reserves, with monthly contributions and annual, quarterly, monthly or daily compounding.
- Invoice aging calculator — how many days one invoice is overdue, the late fee at your daily rate, and the total now owed.
- Tip calculator — the tip on a restaurant bill, on the pre-VAT figure, split between any number of guests.
How the calculators fit together
Each calculator stands alone, so you carry the figures from one to the next yourself. Five common sequences:
- Pricing: the profit margin or markup and margin calculator for the price, the discount calculator for what an offer costs you, then the VAT calculator for the price the customer pays.
- Tax: the VAT calculator, or the India GST calculator for an Indian invoice, to split a total into the amount before tax and the tax.
- Buying from abroad: the currency exchange calculator for the supplier's price, the shipping CBM and chargeable weight calculators for the freight quote, and the import cost calculator for the landed cost of each unit.
- Hiring: the salary cost calculator for what an employee really costs, then the overtime and leave balance calculators as the months go by.
- Getting paid: the invoice aging calculator for an overdue invoice and its late fee, and the loan calculator when you weigh borrowing to cover a gap.
Starting out? Begin with the profit margin and VAT calculators. A small firm planning ahead gets most from the break-even and salary cost calculators.
Mistakes they catch
- Taking VAT out of a total by subtracting the rate. To remove 15% VAT, divide by 1.15: from 115 that leaves 100, where subtracting 15% leaves 97.75.
- Confusing margin with markup. A 25% markup on cost is a 20% margin on the price.
- Adding stacked discounts together. 10% off and then another 10% off is 19% off, not 20%.
- Comparing a flat interest rate with a reducing one. A flat rate charges interest on the whole loan for the whole term, so it costs much more than the same rate on a reducing balance.
- Reading an exchange rate the wrong way round. A rate quoted per US dollar and a rate quoted per unit of your own currency are the reverse of each other.
- Pricing freight on weight alone. Light, bulky cargo is charged on its volumetric weight when that is the greater of the two.
- Pricing an import on the supplier's price alone. Freight, insurance, customs duty and local delivery all belong in the landed cost.
Accuracy and limits
The calculators do the arithmetic; the rates and rules are yours to confirm. Tax rates, labour-law overtime rates and customs duties differ between countries and change, so check them with the official source or your accountant before a large decision. The results are estimates, not tax or legal advice; the disclaimer sets out the limits.
The calculations run in your browser, and the figures you type are not sent to Xuvilo.
Frequently asked questions
Are the calculators free? Yes — all 18 calculators are free with no account required.
Are they accurate? The calculators are provided as helpful estimates. Always double-check important figures with your accountant; the disclaimer describes the limits.
Do they support Arabic? Yes — every calculator works in Arabic, right to left, as well as in English.
Are the currency rates live? No — the converter uses the official monthly rates the European Commission publishes (InfoEuro), fixed for each calendar month. For a payment made today, confirm the rate with your bank.
Can I put the results on an invoice? Not automatically. Copy the figures into the invoice generator, which works out each line's tax again as you type.
