For upstream and oilfield service contractors across Libya, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Iraq and Egypt. Use the industrial layouts — Works Order and Plant & Equipment — and bill crew, equipment, mobilisation, mileage and day rates as line items, with quantity × rate totalled for you.
Service companies that bill an operator for work at a wellsite, a gathering station or a plant: rig and equipment rental, well services, wireline and testing crews, inspection, camp and catering, transport and logistics. The operator may be a national oil company, an international company or a joint venture between them. In Libya, Iraq and the Gulf the operator's finance and contracts staff often work in Arabic while field teams and partners use English, so you may need the same invoice in both languages.
Whether your invoice carries VAT, and at what rate, depends on where your company is registered for VAT, where the operator is and where the work is done, and the rules differ from country to country and between kinds of service. A contractor registered for VAT in the country of the work usually charges that country's rate: 15% in Saudi Arabia, 5% in the UAE and Oman and 14% in Egypt; Libya and Iraq levy no VAT. A contractor based in another country often charges no local VAT, and the operator accounts for it under the reverse charge instead. Check with your tax adviser which applies to your contract before you add VAT to the invoice.
Contracts are often priced in US dollars and paid in local currency, or the other way round; when they are, show both currencies and the exchange rate on the invoice so the operator's accounts team has nothing to convert. Withholding taxes and retentions are also set by your contract and local law, so check them against the contract rather than relying on the invoice to settle them.
Not a dedicated one. The industrial designs print Purchase Order No., Batch / Lot No. and Delivery Note No. Put the AFE number in the notes, and each field ticket number in the Detail line of the line it supports, so it prints under that line's description, beside its amount.
Yes, as two documents: each invoice prints in one language. Choose an Arabic design, or use Xuvilo in Arabic, for the operator's copy, and an English design for the partner's.
Any of 176+ currencies, including USD, SAR, AED, LYD and IQD. Libyan and Iraqi dinar amounts are printed to three decimal places, and a second currency, with its exchange rate, can appear on the same invoice.
