Xuvilo's free invoice generator for Egypt is a browser-based tool that lets freelancers, traders, contractors and small businesses create a professional invoice in under sixty seconds. The Egypt invoice generator pre-loads the correct currency (EGP) and the local tax rate (14% VAT), supports both Arabic & English with proper layout, runs entirely in your browser so your customer information stays on your device, and exports a clean A4 PDF you can email or print. There is nothing to install, no account is required for the core flow, and during our launch phase every tool is free.

Egyptian businesses increasingly get paid through InstaPay, the instant payment network built on the Central Bank's IPN, which has made real-time EGP transfers between bank accounts a daily habit, alongside Meeza domestic cards and the ubiquitous Fawry network for bills and collections. Cash remains king in smaller trade, and cheques still circulate in B2B deals, with payment terms often drifting well beyond the agreed 30 days. Invoices are typically issued in Arabic for domestic clients, and Egypt's large freelancer community — one of the biggest exporters of online work in Africa — usually bills foreign clients in USD and converts to EGP, navigating the pound's successive devaluations. Quoting prices in EGP with a USD reference is a common hedge in longer contracts.
Step 1. Open the Egypt invoice generator. Currency and tax are pre-loaded for you. Fill in your business details and logo; signed in, the company profile you save under Settings fills them in for you.
Step 2. Add your customer and your line items. Quantity, unit price and tax update the totals automatically. Switch language between Arabic & English as needed; Xuvilo flips the layout to RTL or LTR for you.
Step 3. Click "Download PDF". Your Egypt invoice is generated as a print-ready A4 file in EGP, ready to email to the client or attach to your accounting system.
Egypt applies 14% VAT on most invoiced goods and services, so Xuvilo defaults the tax rate to 14% VAT on the Egypt invoice. You can override the rate per line, exclude exempt items, or add multiple tax components if your business requires it.
The tax authority responsible for Egypt is ETA (Egyptian Tax Authority). VAT registration is mandatory once annual turnover exceeds EGP 500,000, and businesses below that may fall under simplified regimes — confirm current thresholds with the ETA.
Egypt has completed one of Africa's largest e-invoicing rollouts: B2B invoices must be issued electronically through the ETA's e-invoice platform, carrying a unique UUID, the issuer's electronic signature, and standardised GS1/EGS item coding, after a phased mandate that started with large taxpayers in 2020. A parallel e-receipt system covers B2C point-of-sale transactions and continues to expand in waves. Paper invoices outside the system are progressively losing validity for tax deduction and refund purposes, so registration on the ETA portal is effectively unavoidable for formal businesses — verify your wave obligations with the ETA.
Xuvilo isn't only an invoice generator. The same business profile powers a free quotation generator for sending price quotes before a deal is signed, a free receipt generator for confirming payments after they're made, and a 859 template library for industry-specific designs. Most Egypt businesses go through quote → invoice → receipt for every project, and Xuvilo covers all three.
Egypt's standard VAT rate is 14%, with a special 10% schedule tax on certain professional services. Invoices must show the supplier's tax registration number and the VAT amount separately, and for registered businesses the invoice must be issued through the ETA e-invoicing system to be recognised for input VAT deduction.
Yes for B2B: after a phased rollout that began in 2020, registered businesses must issue electronic invoices via the ETA platform with a UUID and electronic signature. B2C transactions are being brought into the parallel e-receipt system in waves. Invoices issued outside the system are increasingly rejected for tax purposes, so verify your status with the ETA.
Most bill overseas clients in USD or EUR via platforms or SWIFT transfers, then convert to Egyptian pounds. Given the pound's history of sharp devaluations, many keep earnings in foreign currency accounts where possible. Export services can qualify for zero-rating under Egyptian VAT rules when properly documented — check the conditions with the ETA.
InstaPay is Egypt's instant payment app running on the Central Bank's Instant Payment Network, letting clients pay invoices in seconds using an account, wallet, or Meeza card alias. It has become a standard way for freelancers and small businesses to collect domestic payments, though larger corporate clients still favour traditional bank transfers with remittance references.
